Our services
Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a licensed health care profession that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular, spinal disorders. The art and science of chiropractic is the proper alignment of the body's musculoskeletal structure, particularly the spine, which will enable the body to heal itself. Tim uses hands-on spinal manipulation and other alternative adjustment treatments to restore mobility to joints restricted by tissue injury caused by emotional stress, a traumatic event such as falling, or repetitive stress. For many conditions, chiropractic treatments can restore the structural integrity of the spine, reduce pressure on the sensitive neurological tissue, and consequently improve the health of the patient. It is primarily used as a pain relief alternative as well as to restore function for muscles, joints,
bones, and connective tissue such as cartilage, ligaments, and tendons. Most importantly, chiropractic helps to restore neurological integration of the body. Most chiropractors like Tim also seek to educate their patients on how they can account for their own health via exercise, ergonomics, nutrition and other therapy modalities to support the healing process and regain full functionality. This allows the individual to live to their highest potential.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment to restore free flowing movement of the body's vital force of energy ~qi~ throughout the body. A major focus of acupuncture is to support the body and mind to regain balance and restore normal functions.
Susan studied at the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine. This school was founded by Dan Bensky, D.O., LAC and Paul Karsten. The Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine was graced with Professors from China, Japan, Europe and America. One Professor that influenced Susan's style of acupuncture was Yuriko Yamagichi from Japan. She would tell Susan "you can be powerful and gentle."
Susan uses sterile Japanese needles, that are slightly larger than a hair. This makes for easy insertion and highest possible comfort.
There are many areas that acupuncture can be helpful as a treatment. They include:
* relaxation and improved emotional stability
* faster healing from injuries
* reducing or eliminating pain in various parts of the body
* increased energy
* relief from constipation and other digestive disorders
* balance of your body for seasonal shifts
* a wide variety of physical challenges.
Chinese herbal medicine
Chinese Herbal Medicine is a safe and effective way to treat a variety of physical challenges.
The herbs are highly respected for their potency and ability to assist in the overall healing process. They are prescribed after a thorough assessment of the patients' whole system and what area or areas
need to be brought back into balance.
The aim of Chinese Herbal Therapy is to help regain balance in your body and strengthen its resistance to any diseases.
Susan uses the company Springwind. They test all their herbs for any pesticides or fertilizers, and only sell clean batches to ensure the highest quality.
